ÄTNA Return with Foreboding New Track "Number One," Spotlighting Traffic and Pollution Issues

ÄTNA, is the innovative Dresden-based duo who continue to build anticipation for their upcoming album with the release of their latest single, 'Number One.' Known for their genre-defying sound and visually captivating music videos, ÄTNA has been steadily garnering a devoted fanbase. 'Number One' serves as a fresh glimpse into their forthcoming album, set to drop this Autumn, which delves into pressing global issues such as climate change, deforestation, and global warming.

Driven by lush, soft synths, "Number One" is a track that pulses with creativity, seamlessly blending artistic expression with a boundaryless sound. The duo describes the single as a meditation on the natural cycles of life, drawing on themes of duality like birth and death, ebb and flow, and yin and yang. They urge listeners to zoom out and recognize these cyclical patterns, reminding us that after the rain, the sun will always shine again.

Despite often being mistaken as part of Berlin's vibrant music scene, Inéz and Demian, the masterminds behind ÄTNA, remain deeply rooted in Dresden. It is this physical and creative distance from Germany's major music hubs that may have allowed them to cultivate their unique identity. Their previous albums, "Made By Desire" and "Push Life," marked a distinct departure from conventional German pop, offering a sophisticated and artful approach to music.

ÄTNA has established themselves as avant-garde sonic architects, merging irresistible hooks with driving rhythms, and their collaborations with artists like Solomun, MEUTE, the NDR Bigband, and the renowned BRSO Orchestra showcase their versatility. Having already performed at major festivals like SXSW and Eurosonic this year, and earning accolades from outlets like CLASH, Stereogum, and Earmilk, ÄTNA is solidifying their place as a dynamic force in the global music scene. As they continue to push creative boundaries, it's clear that ÄTNA is just getting started.
