Zakhar Drops Intimate Single 'Overready' Just In Time For Summer

North London's own Zakhar graces us with his new song 'Overready' and its set to be a summer banger.

'Overready' fuses the sounds of melodic rap and Rnb to paint the picture of intense love, gliding over a carefree summer beat. Zakhar, who is only 18 years old, has emotional intelligence far beyond his years. Accompanied by a vulnerable video where Zakhar and his love interest share a touching moment while he professes that he’s prepared for her love.

Zakhar elaborates on the track, "Overready is the 3rd of a 4 part story line featuring the first song ‘My One’ about finding yourself when meeting the so-called one, and 'Find You' is the deeper feeling. The last song ‘Party On Your Own’ which is where we come to an end when you wanna do things by yourself. 'Overready' is before the end, and it’s about me more than ready to go back to how me and the girl used to be."

Zakhar started building his following on Instagram when he was 15 years old making freestyles while attending the Brentford Football Academy. After being noticed by renowned producer JAE5, he went on to release two singles, 'Never Hiding' and 'Phases freestyle'. Amassing over 3 million likes from only a few videos and 178k followers on TikTok.

At age 16, he came to a crossroads and was forced to decide between his two passions, football and music. He eventually decided to pursue music since he had an innate affinity to it growing up with four aunts who were all talented singers.

This track is the follow-up to his outstanding debut album, 'Scars On My Mind,' released through 5K Records last year. The eight track project also saw production from JAE5 on track three, ‘Tough Love'. Zakhar reached over 10M total streams and gained 460k+ monthly listeners on Spotify alone and has gone on to support B Young & BLXST. The young artist is not slowing down and is set to keep making waves through the UK rap scene.
