The Talent of Arka Shines Through on 'Alive', his First Single of 2025

Carving his own lane between indie and rap, Hastings multi-genre artist Arka has delivered 'Alive', his first single of 2025.

Arka

First making waves with social media freestyles, appearances on Mixtape Madness' Next Up, and viral hits 'Soul' and 'Alright', the latest addition to Arka's discography exhibits growth and a level-up for the young artist. Originally from Hastings, Arka's new drop 'Alive', puts him into a new lane, with a fusion of indie sensibility into his signature rap pedigree.

There's a strong emotional chord running through the heart of 'Alive'. It has a similar blend of rousing energy and reflective lyricism you might find in an early Mike Skinner offering, with Arka's individualistic flow resulting something new entirely. Over production courtesy of Belfort, Arka combines exquisitely with the incredible vocals of Nathan Smoker on the hook to kick off 2025 in the best possible way. He's showcased his growth as an artist with his first release since last summer, setting his intention for what is due to be a big year.

The start of 2024 saw Arka alongside UK grime legend D Double E, seasoned rap veteran Jordy, fellow up-n-comer Shakes, and the rap-DnB fusing star Songer for the remix of the Britney Spears sampling 'Toxic'. This would've been for many a first introduction to the skill of Arka, if it hadn't come from seeing him cycling with soundtrack of his most popular track to date, 'Soul'. This high-energy banger was deservedly added to the FIFA 25 soundtrack, a remarkable accomplishment for an artist still in the first chapter of his journey.

With 'Alive', Arka has set his intentions for the year, and exhibited to many his versatility, and maturity, as a rising star of the UK music scene.
