Today’s headlines: Daily Paper x Off-White™’s Product of Ghana

This is news that can’t be missed. In a move that calls all the shots, powerhouses Daily Paper and Off-White™ are down to release a collaborative tee. The T-Shirt, much like the motives of its co-designers, unites global communities and brings down borders. Making a statement, the tee bears lettered print on both front and back reading ‘Product of Ghana’ and the signature Off-White™ Arrow Print graphic to the back, in a design that pays tribute to Cacao Beans. Why? It’s Ghana’s main export, an ode to the long tradition of cacao cultivation, and the collaboration came about when Daily Paper and Off-White™ revealed a mission to create the Freedom Skate Park, in Accra, Ghana, alongside the collective Surf Ghana.

We’re pretty familiar with the fact that skating isn’t just a sport, it’s a community - the park vouches to create an urban centre for its users to discover career and creative opportunities, all set to launch with the park this year. For Daily Paper Co-Founder Jefferson Osei - the brand’s all about its multidisciplinary creatives, their roots and inclusivity - plus Off-White™ Creative Director Virgil Abloh both hailing from Ghanaian descent, it's a home-run as far as creating 1 of only 10 skateparks in the whole of Africa goes. Without it, no skate scene could flourish - it’s a chance to evolve skate-culture for the country, as well as the mental and physical health of its youth. Surf Ghana champions the pairing’s joint values of freedom and self-expression through counter-culture and extreme sports as a driver for diversity in education, social inclusion, and youth empowerment.

Well you’ll be dressed in the sweetest of 2021’s releases so far, and we’re not here to big up your ego even more, but you can wear your latest cop in the knowledge that all of the proceeds are being planted straight back into the construction of Freedom Skate Park. Cacao never tasted so good.

The limited-edition collaborative T-Shirt, titled ‘Product of Ghana’ is available in the colors Decadent Chocolate and White and is priced at £136. Grab it at its global release on January 15th at 11AM GMT on www.dailypaperclothing.com.
