Emerging South London talent Tiana Blake has been gracing the UK scene with her presence, effortlessly, and has marked her first release of 2021 with her sultry new single, ‘Interruption’. Debuting on February the 25th, the song is produced by none-other than Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling hitmaker MNEK.

Immediately attracting praise after releasing her first single 'Cut Ties' last year, which amassed over 2 million Spotify streams, followed up by the similarly well received ‘Hit The Spot’ and ‘Monday’, the gifted young artist has since been known for her radiating energy that emanates true soulfulness. Bursting onto the scene in 2020, she is one of many new age artists helping to fly the flag for British R&B. ‘Interruption’ is the start of an exciting new chapter for Tiana Blake and marks the first single release from her forthcoming mixtape, which is scheduled for release this June.

“It’s about trying to get your partner’s attention, and craving quality time,” Tiana explains. “MNEK whipped up an idea for the production and I came up with a concept. Then myself, MNEK and Ryan Ashley went back and forth on the lyrics.”
The heartfelt love song, pairs Tiana’s alluring vocals with a production that draws inspiration from the early-2000s golden era of R&B. The official video, brought to life by renowned stylist Leah Abbot, (known for styling the likes of Skepta and Jorja Smith) and esteemed filmmaker and creative director Sheena Brobbey, both further accentuated the nostalgic time period. Surrounded by a melting pot of musical influences from a young age, Tiana had an unashamed love for 90’s R&B, inspired by the likes of Brandy, Monica and 702.
