Stone Island SS25: The Membrana 3L TC Redefines Utility and Innovation

Stone Island has launched its SS25 campaign with what is perhaps the brand's most multifaceted, innovative design yet: the Membrana 3L TC. Artistically coloured in two complimentary shades of green, the multipocketed, multi-functional vest is suited for all weatherly conditions and terrains the unpredictable Spring season has in store. 

Emblematic of the focus on layering that is at the heart of the collection, it is a two-part, flattering two-part garment consisting of a utility vest and bomber jacket. Effectively layered and showcased by Jalen Green, in Stone Island’s 100 Question project feature, this launch spotlights Stone Island’s determination to push the boundaries of product design and garment innovation.

The utility vest comes in the deepest forest green, a mesmerising shade accredited to Stone Island’s garment dyeing experts. Whilst, the performance of the inner membrane is skillfully preserved. The vest arrives in a 3-layer light performance fabric made from an opaque nylon outer face laminated to a breathable, water resistant membrane, protected by an imperceptible polyester base. 

Its features are thoughtful and tastefully designed to ensure a balance between maximal functionality and fashion. On its left comes a rounded chest pocket with zip fastening and the infamous Stone Island badge, a waist pocket with unique horizontal zip fastening, and a hand pocket with nylon tape-edged flap and snap fastening. 

On its right, you will find a small chest pocket, waist pocket and hand pocket all complimented by this same fastening. Another pocket can also be located under the back neckline, and there are adjustable front buckled belts to secure the jacket in tough terrains. 

The bomber jacket is also made of these homogenous materials, yet arrives in a light khaki with the addition of a special agent to the dye formula. Its ribbed collar and cuffs suggest a light touch of style, whilst its rounded bellows pocket on the left sleeve add another level of seamless functionality.

The Membrana 3L TC is a living demonstration of Stone Island’s leading role in fabric technology and experimentation, and with its signature cut, form, and materiality, this piece is predicted to be a SS25 staple.
