South London Songstress Yiigaa Releases Her Afro Pop Single, ‘For Me’

Providing a refreshing take on the sounds of Afro pop with a refined and unapologetic style is Yiigaa with her latest single titled ‘For Me’ produced by underground producer Nikhil and J.AR.J.. To open up the track we are greeted with rhythmic marimba sounds and her soothing R&B vocals as she tells the story of finally finding a love that’s true. With a chorus that will instantly have you grooving and lyrics of love and affection, this is just a teaser to her upcoming album ‘Inner Dawn’. Yiigaa expresses that “‘For Me’ is “a declaration of love  - it is about overcoming darkness and finding light and acceptance.”

To accompany the release of this track is a short film made by Yiiggaa herself which features behind the scenes footage as she poetically speaks about her growth as a musician and wanting to make music that honours who she is today.
