Combining Elements of UKG and gospel 18-year-old British-Guyanese and South London artist KDYN shares his latest single 'Shine'.

Released via EMI records KDYN builds an atmosphere from a mixture of live instrumentation like hypnotic guitar rifts that cut into the electronic elements and synths to create a spiritual undertaking.

The instrumental is layered with early 2010s demos and the addition of pitched samples that deliver a catchy chorus that adds to a vocalist’s verses whose soulful approach provides a deep sense of relief and healing, we are taken away by this summer offering.

Jai Paul inspired, the track is all about noticing that days are getting longer, and the sun is no longer hidden by dark clouds allowing us to enjoy the good weather and be present at the moment. It also shares a deeper meaning in keeping your faith.

Explaining the track in further detail KDYN shares, “Shine is a big mix of musical history poured into one, something quite accidentally achieved. It came together through pulling many different sounds together. Electronic music, garage, gospel and soul.”

KDYN's distinct sound of unique UKG is shaped by his experiences of growing up in London and his love for a wide range of artists like Cleo Soul, SAULT, Kaytranada and Little Simz.

This release follows KDYN's debut single 'Amends' which is a promise of more music on the horizons as his debut ep is out in August, It will demonstrate a diverse scope of musicality that will break boundaries its the fluidity of garage, funk, soul, and hip-hop.
