Songer Remixes Britney Spears Inspired ‘Toxic’ Featuring D Double E, Jordy, Arka & Shakes

Building on the success of the original track which was developed from a BL@CKBOX freestyle, Reading Rapper Songer remixes ‘Toxic’ combining youthful energy and longevity as he’s joined on the record by D Double E, Jordy, Shakes and Arka

Announcing brazenly on the beat “You are not on the same level as I” SONGER’s 'Toxic’ cypher has a timeless and nostalgic feel to the hight energised instrumental. If you listen carefully you can hear the essence of Britney Spears sampled , demonstrating a wide range of musical influences, as well as a creative and innovate approach to bring a Y2000 pop vibe to UK rap

Newer voices on the scene Arka and Shakes both provide a charactstmic feel to track with their personable flow, whilst D Double E demonstrates why he’s still a presence.  

The accompanying music video for the remix, was shot in a living room set up, where each rapper apart from Jordy performed their verse with a mic, however they showed love for the North London rapper by holding up a football jersey, whilst his verse ran.

Looking to the near future, Songer has recently sold out his biggest headline UK tour yet. Starting on the 2nd April the tour will last 6 dates and includes Glasgow, Dublin, Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham and London.
