Che Ecru, a 21 year old born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts has been gaining a growing audience on SoundCloud now for some time now and has achieved over 12 million streams. The 21 year old is multi-talented and it’s safe to say it shows through his music as an artist / producer and musician all in one - the perfect mix right?

Now based in LA, he has gained credits from brands like HotNewHipHop and Complex who have said “Che’s talent for infectious melodies and relatable lyrics could put Boston on the map”. Having performed at The Fonda Theatre with Soulection his previous project Buries back in 2017 was also released through Soulection and features one of his most prominent tracks 2 am.

Fans are waiting in anticipation for his latest project Rejection, in the mean time earlier this month he released his official single Wya. Complex wasn’t wrong about his infectious melodies. This tune starts off with a smooth hard-hitting R&B feel but soon switches up to a Dancehall groove in the verses. Drawing from his Jamaican background, Che effortlessly fuses this with the more progressive sound of LA and is able to execute it perfectly. Che’s sultry vocals lace exquisitely over the beat making it a certified banger.

His ability to show versatility and experimentation definitely isn’t lacking and we can’t wait to hear what’s next to come from Che!
