Shay Lia Talks Situationships In New Single 'On The Low'

Forever keeping her fans on their toes, the ever-evolving, unique artist Shay Lia releases new single ‘On The Low’. The second single from Shay Lia’s upcoming album teases an exciting project with a number of well-loved collaborators. The song is an expression of frustration with a tumultuous situationship and its unpredictability: ‘Say you want me but your actions don’t align/ All the games you play/ I dare you - tell the truth'.

Shay Lia never fails to deliver soulful R&B vocals which compliment the electronic dance beat, produced by Kaytranada. Giving insight into her collaborator with the well-loved Toronto-based DJ and producer, Shay explains that their partnership on the single “demonstrates our respective growth patterns as artists”.

Touching on the signature Kaytranada production on the song, Shay expands on how the “production sat on my computer for years and it wasn’t connecting for me until I saw Kaytra in Paris this past June … I felt reinspired and we were able to tap back into our natural way of collaborating and sharing a frequency.”

Fans of the eclectic artist can look forward to her UK and Europe tour next month, concluding her tour by performing at the Camden Assembly in London on 28th November. Yet another classic track is preparing listeners for the release of her album FACETS, due to be released on 20th October.
