Saïna Explores Themes Of Miscommunication On 'Listen To My Voice'

North-West London-based singer/songwriter Saïna (pronounced Sa-ee-na) has released her new single 'Listen To My Voice’. The Afrobeats-inspired track draws on her Japanese and English heritage as she sings in both languages and explores a theme of miscommunication within a relationship.

The singer/songwriter started playing the piano and guitar at age seven and began to write her own songs at the age of 12. After attending the BRIT school and creating music in her bedroom studio, she continues to collaborate with producers and writers to curate her sound. Citing influences such as Amy Winehouse, her music is a mixture of neo-soul and alternative R&B with varied afrobeats and electronic production styles.

Alongside her striking red imagery, her lyricism delves into themes of connection, vulnerability and renewal. The artist sings in both Japanese and English, referencing her mixed heritage and staying true to her Japanese roots, urging her lover to 'listen to my voice' clearly.

Having performed at renowned London venues such as XOYO, Hootenanny and Bush Hall, she continues to be recognised by radio stations such as BBC Radio London on ‘BBC Introducing’. The artist is yet to perform in New York next week, marking her first gig in the United States.
