Santigold Releases Fresh-Sounding Album “Spirituals”

American singer & songwriter Santigold (formerly known as Santogold) releases “Spirituals”, a fresh-sounding full of emotions album. This marks the fourth studio album from the singer and it’s one of those projects that you instantly get drawn to as soon as you hit play. Packed with electronica, r&b, punk-rap, and even ambient sounds this album definitely deserves the attention it is getting. 

Consisting of 10 songs and totaling 30 minutes in length, each song sounds completely different but at the same time beautifully connects with the rest of the project. Her voice acts like a guide in this musical piece which travels us through soundscapes filled with spirituality, mystery, and braveness. Being an established artist for over a decade Santigold always knew how to stay ahead of the music industry and never cared about the spectrum of genres. 

You can hear her fearlessness in creating powerful music from her 2008 self-titled album “Santigold” up until her latest release. Although known primarily for her electronic sound, Santigold tackles a wide range of subjects through multiple mediums in both her music and artworks. This has led to many comparisons between her and artists such as FKA Twigs due to their similar blend of various genres with philosophy in their work. Noticeable to mention that impactful producers such as Lido, Illangelo, Boyz Noize & many more played a huge role in producing the amazing instrumentals for her voice to float on.
