Rising Star Winny Explores The Intricacies Of Relationships On New Single 'Lego'

Love is an awkward and tricky thing, the Benue State native Winny notes as she attempts to balance love on her latest single ‘Lego’ whilst demonstrating her vulnerability.

Groovy whimsical elements against a drums that push forward crafts the perfect atmosphere for this dub as Winny’s rich deep tone fills up the soundscape with emotion as she stretches out lyrics to hold their meaning.

We find her Rejecting false love and addressing the person who doesn’t treat her right in an act of self-preservation drawing a line in the sand.

Speaking about ‘Lego’, Winny says, "Lego is all about the emotional struggle of being caught in a complicated relationship, between love and self-protection, while refusing to be taken on an emotional rollercoaster."

Inspired by the  likes Chronixx, Wizkid, and Kranium, Her sound also bypasses the diaspora by having a sound that in intrenched in the feel of reggae and soul but the artist herself was born in Nigeria.

And with a co-sign from Omah Lay,  The 25 year old Nigerian singer hopes to build on her debut project from last year
