Rising Star Mattie Cozartt Draws Us Closer To The Moon On His Debut EP 'Stay Quiet'

North London’s Mattie Cozartt has spent the last three years refining his craft as a producer, songwriter and rapper. On his debut EP Stay Quiet Mattie is there to lay down some soft-voiced vocals over surrealistic instrumentals.

Produced and mixed during lockdown in 2020, the new five-track EP echoes the experiences of transiting adulthood. In his production, Mattie bestows his own tracks with chopped acoustic samples for an acquired sound while his vocals switch between tempos – going from a fast, melodic rap to a catchy hook.

The EPs most potent example is the final track, a freestyle aptly named 'GHOST TOWN FREESTYLE' which comes alongside hallucinatory visuals. Mattie is certainly one to be on the look out for this year.
