Rising South London Singer/Songwriter Kadeem Tyrell Releases His New Single ‘I Want You’

'I Want You', is a heartfelt dedication to the love shared between Kadeem's brother and his fiance who are childhood sweethearts. The single perfectly captures both the joyfulness and humbling nature of being in love. The production is uplifting, the beat kept steady by the percussion instruments and listeners are blessed by Kadeem's poetic lyricism as he lists the reasons why he doesn't want to be with anyone else.

The single like all of Kadeem's other releases is a combination of R&B and Neo-Soul. We can hear the influences in his latest track as the tone and production gives it a carefree vibe that can be traced back to the early 2000s late 90s R&B feel. This same feeling can be seen again in the visuals, the use of bright colours like yellow provides a feel-good mood.

The single was written during lockdown and will be featured on the forthcoming project ‘As Time Goes By’. The project being made during a time of darkness and isolation generated a shared joy amongst Kadeem and the artists involved in the creative process. Being alone also gave him the time alone to push himself even more, to make things happen and experiment with his sound.
