In keeping with this ethos, Homebass—a collective that epitomizes the rebellious spirit of underground music, began during the lockdown as a renegade operation, rolling up to impromptu raves with nothing more than a white van, speakers, and DJ decks. Playing everything from house to jungle and drum & bass, Homebass quickly became a staple of the UK’s rave scene. Now, post-lockdown, they’ve evolved, hosting both guerrilla and branded pop-up raves across the UK, and their collaboration with Ray-Ban marks a new chapter in their journey.
The Pulse Tour culminated in a grand finale at Hackney Bridge, London, where Ray-Ban and Homebass brought their electrifying collaboration to a close, a venue known for its creative energy and eclectic crowd. The event was a pulsating celebration of music and style, drawing in the Ray-Ban and Homebass communities for a night that will be remembered long after the beats stopped. The atmosphere was electric as attendees, eager to experience the Pulse collection and the thrill of a Homebass rave, signed up in droves via a WhatsApp hotline for exclusive access to the event.
As night fell, the crowd was treated to performances from some of the UK’s premium talent, The event featured standout performances from BXKS, Ayrtn, Gee Lee, Ashbeck and more, each bringing their unique sound and energy to the stage. However, the night truly reached its peak with our main headliner, Kilimanjaro who delivered a performance that left a lasting impact on everyone in attendance. The pulsating beats echoed through the venue, creating a tangible connection between the music, the crowd, which was on full display throughout the night. Special guest performer, Nico B, known for his viral hits and cheeky lyricism, brought an infectious energy to the Hackney Bridge stage. His music, which often blends humor with relatable stories, resonated deeply with the young crowd.
To ensure that the energy of these events transcends the physical space and reaches an even broader perspective, Ray-Ban has collaborated with New Wave to create a series of social media content pieces that perfectly capture the fun and quirky spirit of the Gen Z crowd. These content pieces are designed to showcase the Pulse collection in real-life scenarios, highlighting how seamlessly these sunglasses fit into the lives of their target audience.
