Rap's Most Genuine Rapper Jordy's EP 'KMT' Calls Out The Fakes And Critiques The Clout Chasers

Jordy continues on with his upward trajectory this year with ‘KMT’ a 6 track EP that acts as the perfect platform to allow everyone’s favourite rapper's rapper to take shots at the disloyal and the clout chasers, as well as to prove that he is one of the most authentic voices in the scene.

The Essex-based rapper shows his versatility to go from melodic bars to aggressive punchlines on a variety of beats at the drop of a hat. The songs ‘Enemies’ and ‘Peak were released prior to the project dropping. In the latter, Jordy adopts a more melodic flow that doesn’t affect the substance of his content.

Whilst ‘Enemies’ gives off a nostalgic feel as Jordy shouts out the mandem and remembers watching “Channel U’ on TV back in the day reflecting on the past experiences and decisions.

On ‘buck me’ Jordy teams up with North London rapper Elt Cheekz who is also his cousin to talk about their experiences with girls. Jordy raps “I like my girls with pretty face and leggy like Zendeya” flowing on the beat with ease.

Speaking on the project Jordy said: “KMT is a rap-heavy continuation of ‘SMH’, where it turns darker and more aggressive.”

Jordy understands the assignment with the last track of the project ‘Special’ featuring Elt Cheekz. Rapping against a brush percussion instrumentation with intelligent and creative wordplay he makes references to a lot of pop culture such as the character Albus Dumbledore in the well-known Harry Potter series, hinting at his own magical prowess with a pen putting distance between him and his peers. Also proving that Jordy has many influences in his music, listening closely you can hear the inspiration from classic Mavado banger ‘So Special’ on the chorus

The standout track of the project is ‘FORTY ACRES’ ft the Tottenham legend himself Wretch 32. Jordy is at his best on this track aggressive bars and clever one lines can be found in abundance as if he has a chip on his shoulder. He talks about being ruthless in the game, calls out the fake rappers and brims with self-confidence. Unsurprisingly Wretch bodies his part as well reminding everyone why he’s a class above.

Over the years Jordy has become one of the most admired voices within the thriving UK rap scene and is currently redefining what it means to be a rapper in a congested scene, whilst favouring quality over quantity.
