PUMA x Skepta: A Tech-Luxe Vision at the Crossroads of Streetwear and Performance

Skepta is no stranger to pushing boundaries, and his second full collection with PUMA proves it once again. Blending Skepta’s distinct edge with PUMA’s deep-rooted sportswear archive, the collection fuses street sensibility with technical outdoor performance. Think of it as Skepta’s answer to the great outdoors, filtered through the lens of grime culture and luxury streetwear.

The centrepiece of the collection is the Skope Forever Mid, a shoe that takes its cues from early 2000s design and brings it firmly into 2024. The leather upper, rope laces, and hiking-inspired stays immediately set it apart from your average high-top, and it’s clear this is meant to be worn—whether on city streets or mountain trails. Skepta’s knack for fusing high-end fashion with the utilitarian is on full display here, and it works. There’s a ruggedness to the Skope Forever Mid, but it’s undeniably sleek, like an urban boot reimagined for the future.

The apparel is equally forward-thinking. The Pertex Puffer and Vest stand out, both equipped with stealthy, tech-driven details like zipped storage and water-resistant fabric. The Pertex material gives the collection a functional edge, nodding to performance gear without sacrificing style.

What Skepta does brilliantly here is weave technicality into pieces that don’t scream "outdoor gear" but instead look just as at home in a Shoreditch pub as they would on a remote hiking trail. The Knitted Scuba Longsleeve, crafted with 3D-knitting techniques, is a prime example of how he’s pushing the idea of a mid-layer—something practical, but with enough design credibility to stand on its own.

Accessories round out the collection with a blackout aesthetic, from the utilitarian Grip Bag to the adjustable 5-Panel Cap and Boonie Hat. Every piece feels intentional, designed not just for how it looks but for how it functions. This is tech-luxe at its best—fashion with a purpose, but with enough swagger to ensure it’ll be worn far beyond the outdoors.

The campaign itself, shot against the raw and rugged backdrop of a towering rock formation, drives the point home: this isn’t gear meant to sit in your closet. It’s made to be worn, tested, and, of course, seen.

The PUMA x Skepta collection hits shelves on November 2nd, and if the past is any indication, it won’t be around for long.
