PUMA Speedcat makes a return with two archive-inspired colourways

PUMA’s Speedcat Archive is back, hitting the streets in style with two archive-inspired colourways that radiate the hues of Autumn.

The iconic Speedcat has seen a season refresh, blending nostalgia and modernity to this racing-inspired footwear. The iconic suede trainer now comes in “Haute Coffee/Frosted Ivory” and “Light Blue/Navy” – two diverging colourways that capture the polarity of the season: warm and earthy yet cold and icy.

These colours give the Speedcat a deep, textual note that blends seamlessly into its timeless features. This includes its legendary aerodynamic low-top silhouette, embroidered cat detail on the toe, as well as logo hits on the tongue and above the Formstrip. The shoe is finished with a black rubber sole unit on both sides to mimic F1 racing tires.

As one of PUMA’s most heritage rich and innovative designs, the Speedcat has zoomed through the decades of F1 racing in the ‘80s and ‘90s to modern street-style fandom. The archival shoe is known for its omnipresence in the world of motorsports, styled by adrenaline-fuelled F1 racers before seamlessly becoming the perfect season rotation addition.

These latest editions follow up on the original black and red Speedcat colorways that launched in June, nodding to the racewear uniforms of iconic F1 racing teams.

The Speedcat’s rebirth is captured in a fearless campaign set in collaboration with NAKED Copenhagen, set against the raw backdrop of the badlands. Stylist and creative, Sierra Rena, reappears as the muse of the campaign. It embodies a powerful female energy and impressive self-expression the Speedcat has always been known for.

Once again, this bold release affirms PUMA role as a pioneer in challenging the status quo of sneaker culture, remaining proud and loud in the city’s streets.
