Pozer Brings Jersey Club to the UK with ‘Against All Odds,’ Straight Outta C-Town

Pozer is moving differently. Against All Odds, his debut EP, is more than just a release—it’s a shift in motion, a declaration. The South London artist is setting new rules for the game, effortlessly combining grime, drill, classic soul, and Jersey club—built around triplet kicks and a tempo between 140 to 160 BPM—into a sound that’s his own. Every track is another introduction to Pozer’s unchained mindset and approach when it comes to music, proving exactly why his name keeps showing up everywhere right now.

The EP’s lead single, Shanghigh Noon, sampled from Who You Foolin in bB Guzheng background from《伶人歌》古箏獨奏. A perfect example of his unique style - bringing that Jersey club sound into UK drill with a kind of bouncy after taste.

This was the track that secured a spot on BBC 1Xtra’s Target Embargo and continues to get rotation on BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders show. But Pozer isn’t just relying on the airwaves—he’s making things happen in real time.

Three months ago, he showed up at DJ AG’s King’s Cross pop-up, and after winning a MOBO, he led a ride-out with hundreds of kids through central London to Westway, where he put on a pop-up performance with HomebaseUK.

Another track from the EP, “Follow Your Dreams,” showcases Pozer’s ear for timeless sounds. Built around what feels like a soul sample straight from the ‘80s, the track blends nostalgic warmth with his forward-thinking approach. 

The support for Against All Odds is coming from all directions. GRM Daily, Trench, NME, Deeds Magazine, and others have been showing love, and it’s clear the industry is tuned in. His Balamii freestyle, where he went bar for bar with JS x YD, Kairo Keyz, 163Margs, and RYZ, proves he can hold his own in any setting—from freestyle to the mainstream spotlight.
