Contemporary yet timeless Manchester singer/songwriter Pip Millett can easily be considered a generational talent that is musically in a league of her own. Still, only in her twenties, her voice is something that resonates and then settles deep within.
On ‘Slow’ we get a funky concoction that has a groovy bass guitar with an upbeat feel, played alongside a rhythmic acoustic that compliments Pip as she talks her time as she eloquently flirts with romance, teasing and seductive with deeply emotive vocals.
Every shift in tone is deliberate, utterly captivating her audience as Pip enjoys the intimate moment, pausing subelty to take in the emotions at certain intervals. The soul singer also gently prods romance to enjoy the moment and communicates how she wants to be loved.
The video is shot in black and white by KC Locke, perfectly encapsulating the thrills and subtleties of young love. Possessing cinematic quality the video shows Pip and her love interest in their home sharing their space together isolated from the noise of the outside world.
Pip Millett continues to garner attention across the loudest of publications alongside major support across BBC R1, Xtra and 6Music. In previous singles released this year, ‘Ride with me’ and ‘Downright’, the manc wasn’t shy to reflect on current cultural and social problems that show that Pip Millet isn’t one to shy away from the harder topics.
We also cannot wait to hear Pip’s debut album When Everything Is Better, I’ll Let You Know which is out October 21st. She will also start her UK/EU tour on October 30th at The Waterfront in Norwich and finish in Olso on December 1st.
