Patta SS25: Culture, Worn and Told

Patta SS25

Patta’s SS25 collection is a lesson in storytelling. Not the kind found in pristine, high-concept mood boards or art-school dissertations—but the kind written in skate-scarred benches, pick-up football games, and the glow of a gas station at 2 a.m. The Amsterdam-born streetwear label has always been about community, and this season, it leans even deeper into exploring the places that shape the culture.

This collection is about a feeling. The lineup pulls from the energy of Caribbean neighbourhoods and coastal cities. There’s a lived-in nostalgia here, woven through sun-faded oranges, lilacs, and deep, earthy browns. Camo gets a fresh remix in pinks and purples, while leopard prints—always a Patta staple—are as eye catching as ever.

Fabric choices push the narrative further. Vintage-inspired tricot tracksuits channel old-school athleticism, while crochet stripes and space-dye jacquards add texture and depth. The silhouettes are effortless—wide-leg, relaxed, built for movement. Standout pieces include a leopard-print boiler suit that feels both rebellious and refined, a pink waffle co-ord set that oozes laid-back confidence, and a lineup of soft-knit cardigans.

Patta’s approach to womenswear feels just as organic—baby tees, cropped zip hoodies, and bodystockings blend seamlessly into the collection rather than feeling like an afterthought. The entire range moves as one, a reflection of a brand that understands its audience because it is its audience.

To drive the point home, Patta tapped L.A.-based artist Sideshow for the campaign. Born in Tigray, raised in the DMV, and now navigating the creative sprawl of Los Angeles, Sideshow’s music tells the same stories that Patta’s clothes do—about movement, belonging, and the spaces in between. The campaign video strips away excess, leaving only raw energy: a city backdrop, key pieces from the collection, and an artist whose presence does all the heavy lifting.

With SS25, Patta reminds us why it remains one of streetwear’s most essential brands. These are artefacts of the culture, built to be worn, lived in, and passed down like the best stories always are.
