PACE Release Haunting New Single 'Hunt Me Down'

London-based alternative-pop act PACE unveiled their brand new single 'Hunt Me Down' last Thursday following on from their 2018 debut EP entitled 'Keeper'. Formed in 2015 by singer-songwriter Adam Pavlovčin and pianist and composer Adrián Čermák the duo later incorporated drummer Chris Eleos and guitarist Lorenzo Calvo to become a four-piece who share the desire to produce music and performances that raise controversy and provoke thought. Inspired by the likes of avant-garde artists Sevdaliza, Aurora and Anohni, as well as the neo-folk and rock spirited stylings of Mumford and Sons, Matt Corby and Sufjan Stevens, PACE boast a very uniquely crafted sound palette that retains traditional elements without ever being predictable, inviting the listener to that special place where alternative and popular music meet.

A song equal parts euphoric and sorrowful 'Hunt Me Down' is an ode to the importance of facing our fears as human beings. The hauntingly beautiful track crescendos with emotion and energy having atmospheric and ambient beginnings that showcase Adams deeply soulful and unique vocals flying into his upper range. Later the song blooms further, bursting with orchestral inspired and energetic drum parts that contrast the airy rhythmic guitar lines and harmonium, driving the song home and emphasising the emotive content perfectly.

"I wrote Hunt Me Down about that little parasite in the back of our head always telling us we are not good enough. That little something always finding reasons to bring self-doubt, shame or self-pity into our day. I want us to embrace our ability to mute them and always get back to them with kindness, rather than let them silently Hunt Us Down" - Adam Pavlovčin

After already showcasing their moody cinematic music and aesthetics at Brighton Pride’s LoveBN1Fest, 2000Trees Festival in Cheltenham, the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and as an opening act for Grace Carter, PACE are set to release their second single alongside visuals in upcoming months. Take a listen to 'Hunt Me Down' below.

I won't love you the same

I won't dance in a way I did before I moved to London

and you won't see me pray

for the good times I've been missing

for the fights I kept with me...
