P-rallel Explores Falling In Love On New Garage Inspired Single 'I Know'

There’s something refreshingly nostalgic about West London’s very own P-RALLEL’s latest single ‘I Know’, tapping into that feeling of never-ending summer days spent without a care, when romance rears its head.

You’re completely immersed in that feeling, of being taken over by someone. The R&B vocals are unknown and female, but they urge closeness and intimacy through a sweet honey tone.

The voices brush gently against the upbeat offbeat electronic production. The instrumentation is an exciting sound that taps into that raw feeling of youth and enthusiasm pushing the beat.

Composed from soft synth notes that are played underneath fast-tempo percussion drums, both elements produce the perfect space for female R&B sampled vocals.

Heartfelt and earnest, the voice sings “I want to hold you close pull you into myself/ we make the worse decisions out of ourselves.”

Growing up P-RALLEL was heavily inspired by his father who was a DJ that mainly played garage and jungle sets. Speaking about the track, “This tune is me tipping my hat to some of my favourite Garage tunes that still go off but they’re sweet & smooth, the girls always hit the floor for those ones & sing their hearts so the mandem follow, perfect for warming up the party or a vibe switch!”

The accompanying visualizer is a collection of cut film and still images that document the youth of London as they enjoy their summer days and night via block parties and raves. The focus however is on a young couple in love.
