Oscar#Worldpeace Reintroduces Himself With The Cautionary 'Never Knew'

Existing within the intersection of multiple sounds and influences rather than a fixed genre, Tottenham-born artist Oscar#Worldpeace shares his new single ‘Never Know’.

Infectious and hypnotic Never Know’ is sonically spacious enough to contain piano melodies and string riffs that are grounded by the groovy 808 drums and bass. The beat enforces the feelings of uncertainty that Oscar#Worldpeace deeps as he constantly questions people’s intentions and motivations.

Whilst also preaching caution to people about the untrustworthiness of others and the need to sometimes remove yourself from certain situations.

Oscar explains the song's meaning, saying"’Never Know' is a song open to interpretation. Personally it’s about the duality of love. Positive and negative. Fear and happiness, but ultimately keeping safe during the process."

He showcases his ability to tell an ever-growing story with a certain level of relatable with a personable tone to enthral his listeners as The North London creative glides smoothly the soundscape.

He raps “I just wanna know are you putting on a show? Paranoid mind investing in the Po/stepping in the yard I aint talking off my coat“ delivered with his typical dexterity and charisma.”

Not afraid to not conform stylistically, his latest offering release follows the pattern that Oscar has implemented from his first ever track Mook in 2014, leaning towards vibe and feeling as well as individuality.

However, this is the first time in a while that we hear Oscar#Worldpeace as a solo artist after his involvement with the MINI KINGZ collective who released their debut album ICONICY last summer.

As we enjoy listening to 'Never Knew' It’s refreshing to hear him comeback as a fuller artist, whilst at the same time adding to an already distinct discovery.

Redefining himself as a storyteller, we cannot wait to hear what other stories are left to tell.
