Hailing from Hackney, East London, which is also home to many prominent artists with strong roots to Africa but rap group NSG have proven themselves to be an unstoppable joint force.

As well as being artists who bring a fresh look to collaboration, they are also passionate about investing into their motherland, as seen with their opening of The Area Bar in Ghana, which has welcomed artists such as Stormzy and Headie, amongst more.

The idea came out of a heart that cares first and foremost for culture flows an abundance of a fusion of genres including afro-swing, basement, grime, and rap, making for the eclectic discography and vibrant performances NSG has become known for.

They captured mainstream attention with their catchy hooks and thought-provoking verses, the rap collective's music has been in since the success of their debut mixtape ROOTS, and then going on to release their acclaimed album AREA BOYZ, in 2023, which led to a world tour in 2024 and was followed by a deluxe in the same year.

This run led to headlining the widely-loved UK festival Wireless in 2024, where NSG joined Drake on stage at the O2, and allowed them to work with artists such as Nines, Odomodublvck, Aitch, Giggs, Libianca, Mist, and Potter Payper.

And now as a respected entity in the UK music scene, NSG are back with their lead single ‘Venus’, the leading track of their upcoming 14-track mixtape The Big 6, set to release on February 28th.

‘Venus’ is a fresh and upbeat track that defies gravity and takes listeners off the ground as NSG are joined on this track by breakthrough artist Lyvia, hailing from Nottingham.

The track speaks of an undeniable energy that sparks between two people, leading to an exhilarating connection that goes beyond the dance floor. Lyvia's clear vocals ascend solid verses, as she contributes with a melodic chorus, "Take this tequila out my hand and take me to Venus on the dance floor/ I know you came here with your gang but I'm keeping you anyway."

NSG's upcoming project will feature the likes of Casisdead, Psycho YP, Jay Bahd, TayC, Murda, and Blanco contributing their talents to the environment of vibrancy that NSG creates on every project.

That vibrancy is a cultivated sound that blends Afrobeats, Bashment, Hip-Hop and more, that prove NSG are lending themselves to be part of a new generation of artists who continue to consistently create from the heart, for the heart, demonstrating that embracing the core of your identity will always go far.
