Nia Smith Explores Unrequited Love On New Single 'Little Red Car'

Romance, is the possibility of something happening. The build up. The anticipation of where will this moment lead you to. Sometimes, you even go far enough to build an imagine of someone in you’re head, and where you’re both at, before the picture falls short of fantasy.

 

Brixton singer-songwriter Nia Smith find herself expressing the pain and heartache that comes with loving someone to deeply, who doesn’t equally reciprocate.

 

Speaking about 'Little Red Car', Nia says; “Little red car was one of them songs I just NEEDED to write to allow myself to let go of a situation that was bittersweet to me. This song touches on both sides of the coin, the sweet memories and the bitter feelings.

 

The 21-year-old vocalist is raw as her soulful tone rolls through a soundscape composed of emotive piano chords and drums produced by produced by Grammy and Ivor award winner Fraser T Smith and written by Ed Thomas.

 

Yesterday Nia opened for Jordan Rakei at The Royal Albert Hall before scheduled to venture on a US & UK tour with Elmiene.

 

The British musician has also revealed that debut EP Give Up The Fear will be coming out next month on November 8th.
