Meekz Signals His Intent With New Single 'Air Max's'

Manchester-hailing rapper Meekz returns with brand new single and video 'Air Max’s' continuing on from last year’s success. Since his arrival he’s gone on to receive a tsunami of support from the streets and beyond, propelling him to the forefront of conversation as one of the most exciting rappers coming out of the UK.

‘Air Max’s’ is Meekz’s first release of the year and the first time the rapper is heard solo over a drill instrumental, produced by Kyle Evans. The track is fuelled with a potent piano based beat that he carries effortlessly with his signature gritty bars and unique Manchester vernacular.

His impeccable tone and compelling lyricism brings listeners into his world as he depicts his life with a clarity and emotion that only real rap can provide, speaking on his love for his bros and air maxs, as well as the need to get violent.

The visual sees the 0161 rapper take to the streets, styling out in front of flashy cars and backstage clips of Dave’s We Are All In ThisTogether tour. The video was shared on Grm Daily.

The new single lands after what has already been an exciting start to the year. Last month Meekz graced the stage with Dave at the 2022 BRIT Awards, delivering an explosive performance of hit track “In The Fire” alongside fellow rappers Fredo, Ghetts and Giggs.

With a hint of new music on the way, 2022 is on track to be another defining year for Meekz. Since the release of his debut mixtape ‘Can’t Stop Won’t Stop’, Meekz has become an unstoppable powerhouse within the UK rap scene. The Top 40 project was as loud a debut as they come, home to monumental tracks and videos alike. Title track video ‘Can’t Stop Won’t Stop’ saw Meekz ready for battle, whilst video of the year contender ‘Like Me’ showed his craft in a completely new light. Last year saw the release of colossal track ‘Respect The Come Up’, which has amassed over 8M YouTube views to date - a video nominated for ‘Video Of The Year’ at GRM Daily’s Rated Awards and DJ Mag’s ‘Rap Track of the Year’.

The Manchester born rapper has proven that he’s a talent impossible to ignore.
