Maverick Sabre is one of the UK’s most acclaimed artists to come from the 2010s. With a slew of hit collaborations, ranging from the likes of Jorja Smith, Chase & Status, Rudimental and Kojey Radical to name a few, Maverick has always been at the forefront of cutting-edge British Hip-Hop and Soul. His unique and unmistakable voice has a knack for slicing through any production to leave a mark on his listeners that only the finest voices can achieve.

Maverick has finally announced his forthcoming fifth album Burn The Right Things Down which is slated to be released on October 18th via FAMM. This announcement coincides with the release of his latest single ‘If I Could Only Love You Again’.

The track is led by a heavy bassline that grounds the song and allows it to be lifted into a feeling of euphoria. This, coupled with the slight distortion in the production and the breathy harmonies layered throughout, helps create a dream-like atmosphere.

Rather than using his voice as the domineering instrument, Maverick allows his vocals to merge into the production, capturing the sentiment of grappling between states of life and death, also conveyed by the visuals. Lyrically the song embraces the idea of holding onto hope and optimism with “If tomorrow comes, I hope it brings us all a healing”.

The last few months have kept Maverick very busy as he is fresh off a performance at Ibiza Rocks with good friend and long-term collaborator Jorja Smith, celebrating the Rinse FM 30 Year Anniversary. He has also been seen front row at several London Fashion Week Shows and even has two song placements in the new EA SPORTS FC 25 soundtrack.

The album release will be supported by an intimate Live to Vinyl performance at the legendary Metropolis Studios in London on October 12th. This will see him perform the album which will then get pressed on to vinyl. He has also just announced some tour dates, be sure to grab them quick as they are likely to sell out soon.
