Released March 25th, West London's celebrated DJ, p-rallel lets us drown in the euphoric genres of Garage, House, Amapiano, RnB, Soul and Jazz with his new EP, Forward.
Collaborating with the talented; Kadeem Tyrell, Jeshi, Fredwave, Kasien, Jords and Rachel Chinoriri, Forward invites us to experience sounds like no other. With intersections from several music genre, we prepare ourselves for the upcoming vibes of the season.
P-rallel, Sam Wise and Venna’s ‘Vibes’’ allows us to scream for the esteemed summer heat. It’s euphoric and enjoyable, allowing indescribable sensations that permit us to jive on the dance floor, as it booms with electronica production from p-rallel, the jazzy saxophone from Venna and suave bars from Same Wise.
South London’s Kasien reunites with p-rallel on ‘Get Down’ to exude oscillations of Amapiano - a subgenre of South African house music, soul and electronica. Speaking on the track, p-rallel states, “Me and Kasien made this song when Boris put us into the first lockdown, it was a very depressing time, but we found a way to craft it into a song about feeling free.”
Also making us free on the dance floor, 'Believe' by Fredwave, Jeshi and p-rallel let us experience a fresh, jazzy and upbeat anthem of alternative electronica and house. You can picture yourself floating in a space of emotions, being in a haze or reminiscing on a bus journey home. Furthermore, it encapsulates a melodic nostalgia of being at the club for the first time.
Rachel Chinoriri and Venna’s ‘Can’t Get Enough’ leaves us emotional in the club, but in a cinematic way…entangled in smooth and vibrant sounds that leave us in a psychic trance. Venna’s saxophone delivers a remedy for the pain that is extremely intoxicating and addictive, along with the expressive bass that swallows you whole.
You cannot beat an RnB classic, which Kadeem Tyrell and p-rallel execute on 'Creeping'. Kadeem's sweet and soulful voice intertwines beautifully with p-rallel's mellow beats to create a sentiment of affection, sensuality and enchantment. It makes us hooked, addicted and craving for more when we hit repeat - Creeping' allows us to feel ourselves move to the sultry groove.
Jords' slick bars demonstrates old school raving on 'One Time'. Garage is such a huge influence on the track. As we follow the instructions of bruking it out on the dance floor, throwing our glasses up in the air and skanking, p-rallel finishes the EP on a high. We're left dancing in an endless and euphoric loop where the each component produced complements each other. It's a celebration of vibing and being alive, which is always important to do.
Beautifully and artistically curated, stream p-rallel's new EP, where it is out on all platforms now.
