Lil Durk Drops New Single 'AHHH HA' & Announces Updated ‘7220’ Release Date

Lil Durk drops his new single instead of his upcoming 72220 album which was revealed that it will be next month released on March 11 instead on 22/2/2022.

The Chicago rapper is really pushing the narrative this year proving that he’s not just the voice of the CHI but of the whole scene at the moment, he’s cemented himself as one of raps biggest artists with rugged lyricism, catchy melodies and a prolific output.

Named after the street number where his childhood home was located, 7220 promises to be Durk’s most personal album to-date and is the follow up to 2019’s platinum-certified The Voice, which debuted #2 on the Billboard charts.

'AHHH HA' is the latest in a number of singles that included: 'Broadway Girls' and 'Pissed Me Off'.

On the new single he cheekily disclaims at the beginning of the song that everything he says is fabricated, then proceeds to reflect upon the recent events in his personal life pulling no punches on a fast tempo beat. The song references and pays respect to close friends in his circle who passed away, including his brother, Dontay “D-Thang” Banks and the late OTF rapper King Von.

The rapper also enthusiastically goes after fake rappers who lie on songs, and the gram.

The music video, directed by frequent Durk collaborator Jerry Productions, features Durk and his crew hanging out in Chicago at night on the 300 blocks, repping the CHI iced up in Jewellery. Long shots of Chicago trains leaving the station and empty streets filled with snow are also visuals being shown.

Has 2.3m views on YouTube and is trending no.8 currently for Music.

The album will be followed by the 7220 Tour, 17-city nationwide tour which includes a homecoming finale at Chicago’s United Center on May 2. With the album and the tour, Durk looks to set a new standard of excellence following a 2021 where he released the chart-topping collaboration album with Atlanta’s Lil Baby, The Voice Of The Heroes, and tied with Taylor Swift for most Billboard Hot 100 entries of 2021.
