Held together by a loud deep baseline, percussion elements and the undertones of a guitar pattern in the background looped, ‘Nothing On You’ is a tender and genuinely romantic offering that allows us to experience the delightful surprise of Marie Dahlstrom and Alternative R&B singer Odeal co-existing on the same soundscape as they let go out ego for vulnerability.

Marie is simply Angleic on this R&B-based track as she embraces an openness that only comes with loving someone freely, and in that freedom, space is made for Odeal who smoothly sings the chorus before transitioning into his verse enrichening it is Marie's harmonies in the background.

Odeal believes the song's intention is all bout "longing for a deeper connection with a significant other", which embodies Marie's gentle lyricism “ Let you know you can make mistakes / call my phone up any time of day, I don’t mind at all / cause your worth my call."

The track itself proves to be the perfect joining of instrumentation as gradually piano chords and synths strings rise to be felt in the arrangement as the pair act to lay the doubt of their partner to rest and reaffirm their commitment to them.

Speaking more on the new single, Marie Dahlstrom said: "This song was made in the very first session Odeal and I had together. It was such a natural and smooth process. Daniel’s production provided the perfect foundation and it felt really natural to develop the song. The song is a true love song - feels like a nice way to start the year."

She has also announced a deluxe edition of her 2023 album 'A Good Life' and a headline show at London's Village Underground on Thursday 8th February,.
