At this point we should be used to East London R&B singer kwn’s cheeky and playful personality, that often disguises a passion that is expressive fearlessly with an intense and rich tone.

But still, we are taken back and then enthralled as the enticing details are shared on ‘do what I say’, Kwn's latest release. The track explores power moves in a romantic relationship and the desire in it. She sings, “Safe space, I’m trained and if/ You start to shake, I can hold you down on this bed frame.”

The East Londoner demonstrates, not for the first time her musical ability not just as a vocalist, but also a producer, she adopts a hands-on approach to create the perfect instrumental for her distinct vocals. Upbeat guitar rifts paired by hip-hop percussion which naturally creates pockets to breathe in.

This release comes after releasing a string of features and collaborations including,  with Kehlani who the later featured on the  ‘worst behaviour’ remix and also collaborated on 'Clothes Off' from While We Wait 2 Kehlani’s latest mixtape.

Speaking about “do what i say,” kwn says: “I made ‘do what i say’ once again in my bedroom. I wasn’t feeling very creative at the time and was just trying to see what clicked. When I made the song, it was like half the speed, but I sped it up and realized it was way better. Lyrically, it’s really just me having fun with my pen and seeing how cheeky I could get.”
