Kojey Radical Kicks Off Soho’s Sounds of Summer

East London Native Kojey Radical headlined the vibrant community event, created in collaboration with Soho Radio on Saturday.

In honour of Soho’s rich cultural significance and vibrant musical history, Kingly Court will be the home of  free live music every Saturday from July 27th through to August 17th. The performances will feature artists curated by Soho Radio, providing a valuable platform for emerging talents to connect with new audiences and showcase their work.

The festivities kicked off this past weekend with performances from Sans Soucis and Kitty Liv, both rising stars in the R&B and Soul scenes. Additionally, DJ sets from Soho Radio kept the energy high and ended with a signature performance from artist Kojey Radical. Known for his dynamic blend of rap, funk, and spoken word, fittingly dressed in Labrum London, one of Soho’s newest residents.

Kojey Radical stands as a pioneer of underground Black music in the UK, instrumental in pushing the genre into mainstream consciousness. A multidisciplinary artist, Kojey's creative ventures span fashion, art, and film, earning him a dedicated cult following and extensive critical acclaim. His influence and artistry have been pivotal in shaping the contemporary music scene.

Kojey Radical treated the audience with fan favourites like ‘Can’t Go Back’ from his album "Cashmere Tears" and hit single ‘If Only’ alongside some of his newer releases like ‘Ego Slide’. 

In the 10 years since its founding Soho Radio has become an influential authority in music and culture providing both new and established artists creative freedom and a platform to share their works. Sounds of Summer will continue until the 17th of August with weekly, free to attend music sessions in Kingly Court highlighting a broad range of talent from smaller artists.
