Kiko Kostadinov SS25

Presented on October 1st, in the American Cathedral of Paris, the collection featured a backdrop of mosaics and inflated white domes, creating a mesmerizing blend of retro and futuristic elements. The collection drew heavily from the golden age of aviation, reimagining it through a modern, looser, and edgy lens.

A key theme of the collection was movement and transience. The designers explored this through various characters, each representing different facets of travel and identity. The hair styling and choice of colors create an impression of a modernized look of how a woman from the 60s-70s would look in today's time, which can also be noticed through the rawer cuts of the dresses.

The juxtaposition of textures and materials was another highlight. Silk fabrics met with rugged leather and metallic accents, symbolizing the clash and harmony between old-world elegance and contemporary boldness. The accessory game was equally strong, featuring oversized sunglasses, silk scarves, and travel-inspired bags that paid homage to mid-century jet-setting culture. Music and lighting at the show further emphasized the collection’s time-traveling theme, with a groovy playlist, creating an immersive sensory experience.

The SS25 collection was a masterful homage to the spirit of adventure and the romance of air travel, reimagined for the present-day fashion aficionado.
