KAYTRAMINÉ Is Finally Being Formed.

Kaytranada and Aminé have partnered to create a collaborative project, which will be released on May 12th. The duo has already given us a taster of what to expect from their self-titled album, with debut single 4EVA featuring Pharrell Williams.

The track taps into all three individuals' worlds with an ethereal funky sound- Amine’s lyrics flow effortlessly over the co-produced melodic beat.

Fans of both Kaytranada and Aminé have long awaited for the duo to collaborate after their first musical connection almost a decade ago in 2014, Portland rapper Aminé first released 'Not At All', a bootleg remix of Kaytranada's 2013 'At All'. Since then, the two artists have continuously shown each other mutual support which includes Kaytranada's producer contribution to 3 of Aminé's songs from his 2015 mixtape ‘Calling Brio’.

The past two years have seen both individuals flourish in the dance music scene. With Kaytranada's sold-out headline North American and European shows in 2022. Aminé entered a new musical era in 2021 with 'TWOPOINTFIVE', which had subtle musical influences from club music and hyper-pop.

As we sit with anticipation for the new release, Kaytranada's recent visibility with artists such as PinkPantheress, Ravyn Lenae, and Joyce Wrice might be an indication of what the prolific producer's bringing to the table, our prediction, the project will merge dance and hip-hop and take us on an interesting but groovy musical experience.
