KAHUKX Links Up with 'KING BRUKUTU' BackRoad Gee for 'Caribbean'.

KAHUKX ft BackRoad Gee

KAHUKX doesn’t overthink it. He drops when he’s ready, moves how he wants, and keeps it real with his sound. That approach shows up clearly on his latest release, ‘Caribbean,’ a track that finds him exchanging verses with BackRoad Gee—and the link-up works.

There’s no forced chemistry here. The two feed off each other. KAHUKX sounds sharp, steady, and focused. BackRoad Gee brings his usual flow, and together they keep the energy up without overcrowding the track. There’s space to breathe, which lets each of their styles land properly.

SHYY’s production does the groundwork, giving the song a steady rhythm that leans into grime and drill, with some loose threads to Afroswing. The track moves, but it doesn’t chase trends. It’s confident in its own pace.

The story behind the song is refreshingly low-key and serves as a reminder that sometimes music videos don’t need to be anything crazy sometimes a few clips from the festival and studio is all you need. In this instance that’s what it was here - KAHUKX mentioned it came out of a casual session.Nothing too planned. They hit the studio, caught a vibe, and recorded. That kind of spontaneity doesn’t always translate into something solid, but here, it did.

The video, filmed shortly after they crossed paths at Wireless Festival, keeps the focus on presence. No flashy edits or forced visuals—just the two of them linking up, letting the song do most of the talking.

KAHUKX has been picking up support from the likes of GRM Daily and BBC Radio 1XTRA, and it’s easy to see why. He’s not just showing up in the UK scene—he’s showing consistency. Tracks like 'MBAPPÉ' and 'Due Time' set things up, but 'Caribbean' feels like it opens a new lane for him.

It’s a smart move, but more than that, it feels like a natural one.
