Jordy Explores Feelings OF Love On New Single 'TOO MUCH' Featuring Louis Rei

Oppting for feelings and vibes on ‘TOO MUCH’ everybody's favuroite rappers rapper Jordy perfects the art of smooth velvet rap alongside WSTRN member Louis Rei.

Over a warm percussion, a strummed subtle electric guitar and other electronic elements were produced by regular collaborators OJ, Daniel Miles, and Midnight Phunk.

Jordy is given the space to rap with a casual laid-back air as he retells his romantic experiences and the women he's currently seeing. The approach is cheeky at times and gives him the perfect excuse to demonstrate his lyrical wordplay ability.

He chains extended metaphors throughout the song, so lines follow one after the other. He raps “ I got a local-ish ting and she’s big on discretion/ knows I’m a dog, but we all go to heaven.” In pockets of the beat Louis Rei provides a melodic verse and hook that adds an extra layer to the track.

Recently a string of releases dropped in anticipation of the ‘Love Ting’ EP, scheduled to drop at the end of this month. The project will centre around the theme of love, its ambiguous meaning and how Jordy’s relationship to it.

The accompanying music video is directed by the established Shan Phearon who draws inspiration from the early 200s as you can gauge the references from 'Gold Digger' by Kanye West, 'Breath & Stop' by Q Tip and ‘You Owe Me’ by Nas.

These artists were such a massive influence to Jordy and a lot of people in the UK growing up as we would use to watch them on back in the Channel U and MTV Base days.

'TOO MUCH' is shot in black and white and features close shots of beautiful women are central. However, the camera pans to Jordy and Louis in moments.
