JADA is ready to shine on her debut EP, Inside Out

After the success of her singles  ‘Magic’, and ‘KO’ which collected support from musical innovators such as DJ Ace, COLORS, Wonderland and Notion, the East-London singer songwriter JADA returns with Inside Out, a “New Wave R&B” EP and also her debut EP.

This is the project where her bold sonical experimentation meets her authenticity and matched with her silky vocals, has resulted in a body of work that displays the true depths of JADA's artistry.

Inside Out is a five-track collection that details the singer's journey through experiencing love, femininity, and the self discovery that comes with the transition from a girl into a young woman. At the forefront of the EP is the track ‘Better With You’, centers around finding someone who “ticks all the boxes”, accompanied by a visual directed by Ray Fiasco.

The visual features frequent collaborator and fellow artist JVCK James, who also co-wrote the track, and depicts the excitement of city life in London as we see the artist move from her bedroom alone to taking a journey into the city accompanied by her friends.  Intricate close-ups on the visual details such as the nails, hair clips, and array of fabrics in the video show the excitement that comes with the process of getting ready, often associated as a bonding experience for young women. ‘Better With You’ highlights the vocal agility that JADA has become known for, as she blends tenderness with  harmony to create a captivating sonical experience for listeners.

JADA grew up in a musical household where the riffs and runs that are notoriously found in Gospel music served as the soundtrack to her childhood. Her passion for creativity was fostered by her mother and uncle, who sang regularly and whose voices eased JADA into the world of music.Starting ballet at just five years old, JADA soon found herself singing at school assemblies.

Singing turned into JADA penning her own lyrics, and she found herself  led into the art of songwriting, which eventually led her to study at Elam Music College, where she crossed paths with Grammy-winning Venna and  fellow East-London bred R&B singer JVCK James, fellow musicians who share her passion for artistry and her vision for the future of music. While some of her notable inspirations include stars such as Jill Scott and Angie Stone, and modern R&B sensations such as Kehlani and SZA, JADA is an artist who brings a raw cut honesty to the music scene,  immersing her music with her authentic touch. 

In her short career so far, JADA has represented the UK on DJ Ace’s ‘Everything R&B’ at SXSW this year, alongside other artists like Etta Bond, Ayanna, and Tamera, as well as taking her talent beyond her home soil by joining frequent collaborator and fellow artist Venna on his ‘Est 99’ European Tour.

And having already established a notable reputation for herself through her collaborations with Venna, featuring on tracks such as ‘Tam Tam’ and ‘June’s Cry’ which also features JVCK JAMES, JADA is no stranger to collaboration.

With a sound that is similar to the likes of artists Ojerine and Kelda, JADA’s silky tone that glides over every track seemingly is one that deserves its own exclusive space to shine.  She describes music as “real therapy” for her, evident on her tracks thus far that have invited listeners into the world of a young emerging creative. 

Produced by Elevated, ( Jorja Smith, Fredo, and Central Cee) , Inside Out features a driving force of  production behind each track, with a star-studded list of producers that includes Perry, Blakey, Antiwave, Joel AB, and Grammy Award-winner Venna, each providing a solid base for JADA to lay her alluring vocals upon sounds fused with R&B, hip-hop, and jazz. 

Now, presenting  a project that is solely hers, JADA is ready to offer her listeners a deeper look into how introspection manifests itself in her creative process. 

Taking a literal approach to the title of this project. JADA is ready to demonstrate the importance of knowing the substance, both good and bad, that exists inside oneself.

Inside Out is an offering from a JADA’s eager hand to the world. "Grateful for the journey and all those who have been apart of it”  this far JADA has an undeniable purpose to create art for the benefit of others and a clear vision for her future.
