Jacob Banks Soothes All Of Our Aches And Pains With His Latest Single ‘By Design (Evil Knievel)’

There is something so timeless about Jacob banks from his voice to his delivery and how he conducts himself. He has perfected the art of allowing us access to his own personal thoughts, perspectives, and inspirations through his music.

The singer effortlessly delivers his new single 'By Design (Evil Knievel)’ in anticipation of his forthcoming album Lies About The War. The track starts with harmonies and piano chords that suck you in before the Nigerian-born and London-based singer/songwriter carries us away with smooth velvet vocals that warm you up to the brim.

The song is about the optimism of being in love despite the uncertainty that often comes with giving your heart to someone. Banks shares the message love is life and he’s here for the experience rather than the end result.

“By design is about the novelty of youth, before we were altered. At our core I truly believe we all just want to love and be loved But even that is a luxury now.” - Jacob Banks

‘By Design’ touches and moves something deep within you, Banks displays romantic lyricism “ if this is love I’m on board but I’ve ridden this bus before”. He shows his willingness and familiarity with being in love, but his soulful tone hides the pain caused by his experiences.

Banks a few weeks ago also released the live performance of his previous single ' Just When I thought' on YouTube.

After his 2018 full-length debut, Village, and his 2021 EP For My Friends, we cannot wait to hear what a fully independent Jacob Banks album will sound like via his own record label, Nobody Records.
