Hackney-born Singer-Songwriter Mychelle Pays Little Attention 'Sweet Nothings' On Latest Single

A soulful rejection of unwanted advances in favour of treasuring the peace found within her own company and the company of friends, Hackney-born singer-songwriter Mychelle advocates for herself on her latest single ‘Sweet Nothings’.

Proceeding with earned caution, Mychelle doesn’t put too much salt in the words of a potential love interest, rather treating them as ‘Sweet Nothings’ with little meaning or substance to be found due to the past experiences of the person coming up short as she asks rhetorically “are you okay, are you good?” taken back by the audacity, she declares she is fine on her own.

The newly FAMM signee which is home to the likes of Jorja Smith and Maverick Sabre enjoys herself on a downtempo-ed and languid instrumental produced by Fred Cox, that provides space for the East Londoner’s smooth and serene voice to cruise on top of a beat made up of a low bass and rhythmic percussion.

When speaking on the song Mychelle said: “This track is for anyone that is over the Sweet Nothings that come out of someone’s mouth. They’renot going to work this time. Go away.”

A passion for football expressed through playing for Islington FC, the accompanying video is fun, refreshing and creative for Mychelle’s latest single, which is set on a football pitch that sees Mychelle and her friends play until day turns into night.
