H.E.R Releases Empowering Single "Fight For You" From Upcoming Film 'Judas And The Black Messiah'

The soulful two-time Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist H.E.R. has recently offered up her vocals for the racial justice single “Fight For You” from Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming feature film Judas and the Black Messiah.

H.E.R steps up to the plate with "Fight For You" that speaks on racial injustice and oppression, in which her sound was able to exude a heartfelt tone alongside the passionate message. The song, which is the first single from the film's album, was recently nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, making it H.E.R.'s first ever and well-deserved nomination.

Produced and written by Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II and the singer herself, with a hand from Tiara Thomas who also holds credits to the impactful lyrics, the single is reminiscent of the revolutionary sounds from the `60s and `70s. Inspired by true events, “Judas and the Black Messiah” which will be released in the U.S. in cinemas and on HBO Max on February 12, 2021.
