Back to back, BBC Radio 6 DJ Gilles Peterson and DJ EZ are set to headline Manchester club Hidden in celebration of its 10th birthday.
Giles Peterson is a known cultural figure in the jazz scene and how his sets experiment with soul, house and electronica scene since the 80s, whilst DJ EZ leans more towards UK garage and is a talented spinner of the decks in his own right.
So you know that these two nights in Manchester are going to be a subtly curated artful endeavour that will be highly transformative for people who either love music or just want to dance and have a good time.
It’s not a surprise that Hidden is one of the UK’s leading underground music venues and central Manchester’s nightlife and rave scene due to it favouring quality and putting ownership on deeply feeling music.
The club has also just completed a refurbishment that includes an upgraded main room to allow more space for ravers to dance, as the hugely popular event has seamlessly grown over the past decade as well as a whole new sonic experience due to a newly implemented Void sound system that will allow the DJ sets to filter through to the room and provide an atmospheric air.
Martin Moffat, Operations Manager at Hidden, commented: “This refurbishment marks a new era for Hidden. Over the past decade, we’ve established ourselves as one of the UK’s most revered club spaces, and now, with these major improvements, we’re ensuring our future remains just as exciting. We’ve listened to our community and made the changes they wanted — better facilities, a quicker bar service, and an even more immersive club experience. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back at our 10th birthday weekender!”
