First Listen: Tyler Lewis 'Fly On The Wall'



Tyler Lewis is only getting started. Following the release of her debut single 'downtime' the rising singer-songwriter is back with her explosive new track, 'fly on the wall'. We got the chance to catch up with the female songstress and chat about her musical inspirations, her experience working with MNEK and being a young female artist in the UK music scene.


"Growing up my mum played a lot of Mariah Cary, Babyface, and Brian Mcknight. Now I mostly listen to Luther Vandros and Silk Sonic. If I could make music like anyone, it would be those two artists."


The track pays homage to Lewis' musical heroes whilst showcasing her distinctly soulful voice. Forever introspective, Tyler explores the theme of human curiosity and fascination within romantic relationships. Deriving inspiration from lived experiences, the artist infuses the song with an authenticity and rawness in emotion. The result? "MNEK was my very first studio session which is crazy to think about that. I know that when I work with him, it's always going to be a fun time."


MNEK has played a pivotal role in Tyler Lewis' musical journey so far and his influence on the her artistry is palpable. The track is an intoxicating blend of rich melodies and passionate lyrics and inspires a visceral reaction.
