Finn Foxell Embodies Guy Ritchie’s Classic in His New Single ‘SNATCH’ Ahead of His Album Release

Ahead of the West London artist’s new album MAMA’S BOY, Finn Foxell releases the fifth single ‘SNATCH’ along with a music video you don’t want to miss.

Raised in Shepherds Bush in a circle of music from family to friends to his homegrown collective ‘Elevation Meditation’, it is no surprise that Finn’s experimental sound continues to reach new heights with his new sonic rap track. The genre blending artist uses his music as a creative tool to connect with his growing tight knit London community, one he has fostered through years of making music independently from his first solo album “Talk is Cheap” which debuted in 2020.

There is a refreshing upbeat feel with this one and the music video that accompanies it brings an added layer of comedy and wit to the artist’s song ‘SNATCH’. Inspired by the well renowned 2002 Guy Ritchie film named before the single’s title, starring Brad Pitt, Jason Statham and Vinni

e Jones, the video takes play on a version of events from the film’s famous scenes. The West London version sees a project directed by Krish Sharda starring Finn himself and co stars who act out the storyline in locations known to locals in Foxell’s community. From camera angles to caravan sightings, the visuals are spot on. The track’s bass line and tambourine melodies underpin Finn’s high spirit flow on infectious verses on either sides of the upbeat tempo chorus.

Bringing his own life into the fictional story there is an avenue of identity and storytelling that Finn excels in. There are lyrics that relate to the artist’s duality of musical upbringing from rap to grime to electronic, perhaps it is this relationship to the diverse environment he creates music in that separates his work from fellow artists in the industry. He raps “Magnum or Guiness”, a line that sums up the nature of Caribbean and British heritage which influences the culture, sound and style of music Finn has experimented with.

Entering a new era of his artistry, Finn’s album is set to be a fresh perspective into his new chapter as he enters fatherhood for the first time, delves into heartbreak and the obstacles of his life that have formed a body of work he calls MAMA’S BOY releasing 25th April.
