Kindness, understanding and compromise are all things that we heavily associate with love, and Atlanta-based singer/songwriter Summer Walker explores that in her return with her latest single ‘Heart of a Woman’.
The 2x GRAMMY nominated R&B artist thrives in that timeless R&B sound that delves deep into nostalgia as she delivers her rich emotive vocals alongside sensual synths and gentle snare drum.
Delicately, she positions herself in a sympathetic position. She, like a lot of people feels like her love is being taken advantage of by a partner who isn’t being reciprocal.
Frustrated, Summer despite arguments and conflict that occurs in her relationship, however she cannot help but hold on. She sings, "Wanna give up on you but damn I know I can't / I put the blame on me taking chance after chance.”
The single, is a part of Summer’s third studio album, Finally Over It, which will complete the trilogy, which consists of her debut album Over It, released in 2019 and her sophomore album ‘Still Over It’ released in 2021.
