edbl Shares Latest Offering 'All Me' With Bolton Rapper Superlative

After enjoying performing a sold-out headline show at London’s iconic Jazz Café, two nights at the legendary Blue Note Tokyo, and Brixton’s late-night venue Hootananny, edbl has taken the time to bless us with new music.

Releasing his latest offering 'All Me' with Bolton rapper Superlative,  beatmaker, producer, and multi-instrumentalist edbl crafts the perfect artistic space of alt Jazz and rap.

Free-flowing piano keys dance across the foundations layered by raw off-beat dub percussion and other electronic elements.

Speaking on ‘All Me’, edbl commented“‘All Me’ started with a sample from one of my favourite producers Fred Cox and his buddy Hutch, I made the beat as soon as I heard it and have been sat on it a little while.

“When it came to pulling together beats for this project I knew I wanted this one on it. Sometimes a beat and a rapper were made for each other, and I believe that is the case with this beat + Superlative.

When I heard his bars it blew my mind - I was so gassed straight away, added a couple layers and a cheeky guitar solo and the song was done. It came together super quickly and organically!”

Cruising on this heavenly beat Superlative is both vintage and contemporary as his approach to music is one reminiscent of New York 80s and 90s rap despite coming from the North of England.

The Bolton rapper is propelled forward by his self-confidence stemming from the experiences he has gone through. His flow is cool and even paced as he guards his peace, whilst simultaneously stepping into a new era.

Sharing his thoughts Superlative says “All Me’ is me stepping into my self-respect era. Realising that not all help given is reciprocated and always being accessible allows people to take advantage of your willingness to help.

This song is an affirmation in the form of self-worth and a goodbye to the former person I once allowed people to see me as.”

This release follows up edbl’s previous single 'Never Stops' a collaboration that sees LA Jazz, UK rap and Soul come together. It's a reflection of what his new mixtape might potentially sound like when 2010 Mixtape drops sometime this summer.
