Ease Off The Pedals With Lord Apex's New Single 'Like You Know'

Lord Apex’s first single of the year 'Like You Know' sounds reinvigorated, his bars unconfined yet trim and his flow as agile and organic as ever.

The accompanying visuals take us to one of England’s far-flung fields in which Apex savours the moment, partnered by the three essential things in life according to the 24-year-old – “nature, water, and weed”. Each verse balances the other as the West Londoner gives you a window into his day from the first stretch in the morning to the final closing of tired eyes in the evening. You can hear the sunny ambience shine from this track, and a little bit of sunshine is just what a lot of us need.

Disregarding the mainstream and doing what fits his style best, Apex’s tracks have always shown a strong conviction. Tunes seem to flow out of Apex with ease, evidenced by an immense collection of work; after his first track “Bebop” dropped on Soundcloud in 2014 the debonair artist consistently released at least two projects every year since.

Aside from his agile lyricism his songs often feel like a mood delivered musically, whether it’s the ruminating introspection given off on his 2019 Smokesessions Vol. 2 featuring tracks – “Whats The World Mean to You” and “Em 3”, or the assertive “Amazon” and the shifting tides of “Sway” from his collaborative EP Stuck in Motion with Finn Foxell and Flowzart in 2018 .

“Like You Know” is the prodigious artist’s first release since his praiseworthy 2020 EP Supply and Demand prod. by NY’s V Don. Check out the visuals below.
