Dreamville Records share 2020 debut: 1/16

In 2019 J. Cole’s Dreamville label and collective brought us a select few gems, such as the Revenge Of The Dreamers III compilation, Ari Lennox’s stunning debut Album Shea Butter Baby and Earthgang’s debut LP Mirrorland. It is clear that the label is starting the year off with a bang as today’s two singles feature exciting new material from the latter two artists.

BUSSIT with Ari Lennox comes first - a warm, sultry and sensual RnB tune with jazzy undertones which was teased on the Revenge (Documentary) in July of last year. Fans of Lennox were anticipating its official release after she posted a video on Instagram of her dancing to the track the day before its release. It is everything one would hope for as a follow up from last year’s album, and in true Lennox style, it fosters an intimacy perfected through her soft and playful vocals.

The second track released is Earthgang’s Still Up featuring TDE’s Reason - a straight-up earworm with a hook guaranteed to get stuck in your head reminiscent of Kendrick Lamar’s HUMBLE.
